Graham & Robert Saunders
The Yachtsman Care Home has been a family run business for over 30 years. Originally owned by Robert and Victoria Saunders until 2001, it has since been run by their sons Robert and Graham Saunders. Both Robert and Graham retired in 2023 however they both still remain involved and are still named as the registered providers however Robert’s daughter Charlotte is running the business day to day on their behalf whilst they enjoy retirement!
Charlotte’s background is in HR and various Executive Assistant roles. Before joining the Yachtsman, she worked in Manchester for the National Football Museum serving as PA to the Director of the museum and board of trustees. Currently studying her CIPD Level 5 in People and HR Management, Charlotte brings a wealth of knowledge in HR and a fresh pair of eyes and has overseen the transition with the Yachtsman to modern day care systems.
Registered Manager:
Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith is the Registered Manager and began working at the Yachtsman in 2005. She has completed NVQ Levels 2, 3 & 4 in Health & Social Care and NVQ Level 5 in Leadership Management. Sarah is highly trained and experienced in all aspects of Dementia and End of Life Care.
Sarah supports The Yachtsman’s staff who come from a variety of different care settings and some staff have been working at the yachtsman for in excess of 20 years.
